At Beebe Law, PLLC we understand that "business as usual" can sometimes be a little less than "usual" and if you are a small business, you likely don't have the budget to have a full-time on-staff attorney just waiting to address any and all business and legal issues that come up.  That is a key point too - In-House counsel doesn't just advise on the law but also considers business operations as a whole.  Most small businesses are scrappy by nature and run on pure "I'll figure it out as I go" drive and ambition.  Trial and error is a great way to learn and gain experience which turns into wisdom, but what if you could help minimize costly mistakes and lost opportunities simply by having a trusted advisor essentially on what would be today's equivalent of speed dial?  Wouldn't it be better to try and avoid those things in the first place?  Think of it as a shortcut on your path to success.

No entrepreneur operating a business, especially if you are considering operating a website as your business model, is "too small" or "too new" to take advantage of our Outside In-House Counsel Service. In fact, in our experience, the sooner you can establish a relationship with your legal counsel, the better!  Nothing is worse than getting far down a path, extending valuable time and scarce resources, only to find out later that something you were doing is a legal liability or worse, something that resulted in unnecessary litigation. If only we had a dollar for every time we heard a new client say something along the lines of: "Where were you BEFORE this happened? If I knew you before, I could have saved myself a lot of money and headache!"  Arguably, it is definitely more beneficial to be proactive when it comes to legal advisor involvement than being reactive - after the poo has already hit the fan - and you're faced with surprise legal bills to address the problem.  We want you to avoid all the mess in the first place.

Outside In-House Counsel services refer to the engagement of external law firms or attorneys who work closely with a company's internal legal team, providing dedicated legal support and strategic advice on a wide range of legal matters. These services offer businesses the advantages of having an in-house counsel without the associated costs and resource commitments.

  • Specialized Legal Expertise: Outside In-House Counsel services provide businesses with access to legal professionals who possess specialized knowledge and expertise in specific areas of law. They bring diverse skill sets and industry insights, allowing for targeted and effective legal guidance in complex matters.

  • Cost-Effectiveness: Engaging Outside In-House Counsel services eliminates the need for full-time in-house legal staff and associated overhead costs. Businesses can access high-quality legal support on-demand, paying for services rendered, often through a flat fee, rather than maintaining a permanent legal department.

  • Flexibility and Scalability:  Outside In-House Counsel services offer flexibility in engagement duration and scope. Businesses can scale their legal support based on their needs, whether it's for a specific project, ongoing legal matters, or periodic legal advice.

  • Strategic Guidance: Outside In-House Counsel acts as a strategic partner, working closely with the internal legal team and key stakeholders to align legal strategies with business objectives. They offer valuable insights, risk assessments, and recommendations, contributing to informed decision-making.

  • Reduced Workload and Efficiency: With dedicated legal support, businesses can offload legal tasks and responsibilities, allowing internal teams to focus on core business activities. Outside In-House Counsel can handle legal research, contract reviews, regulatory compliance, and other legal matters, promoting operational efficiency.

  • Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Outside In-House Counsel services assist businesses in identifying and mitigating legal risks. They ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, helping safeguard the business's reputation and minimize potential legal liabilities.

  • Conflict Resolution and Litigation Support: In the event of disputes or litigation, Outside In-House Counsel services provide valuable support. They offer guidance on dispute resolution strategies, manage litigation processes, engage in negotiations, and work towards favorable resolutions on behalf of the business.

  • Long-Term Relationship and Knowledge Retention: Engaging Outside In-House Counsel services allows for the development of long-term relationships with legal professionals who understand the business's objectives, industry, and legal challenges. This fosters continuity, knowledge retention, and streamlined legal support.

We recognize that every business is different and your needs will be unique to your business.  We do not take a "one size fits all" approach like other pre-paid legal programs.  That said, below is a general list of services that can be included in your Outside In-House Counsel service package:

  • Daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly general status calls.  Keeping your advisor in the loop is the best way to prevent unnecessary risk and liability. We know how to issue spot.

  • Prioritized communications to address general questions. Have a concern or random question? Simply reach out!

  • Prioritized communications to discuss your next big idea. We love brainstorming!

  • Discounted hourly rates on personalized training for staff/employees on new policies or procedures or other topics such as social media use.

  • Discounted hourly rates on other Business, Internet, Social Media and Online Defamation, and Intellectual Property related services.  Need a contract reviewed?  No problem! Want to implement a Digital Crisis Response Plan?  You've got it!  (Litigation and actual costs not included).

We recognize that every business is different and your needs will be unique to your business.  We do not take a "one size fits all" approach like other generic pre-paid legal programs who aren't lawyers that actually know your business and we aren't going to charge you for services that you aren't going to need.  We also know that businesses may come to us at various stages - like the early concept/planning stage, the early operating stage, or the long term existing business stage.  As such, we like to start relatively small and if you need to add things on "ala carte" on top of a base monthly fee for a set term, you have the flexibility to do that - most services can be added and billed at a discounted rate for our Outside In-House Counsel Services.

To learn more about our Outside In-House Counsel Services send us an inquiry by using our fill in the blank form below.  Once we have reviewed your information, and cleared you of conflicts, we will reach out to schedule you for a free 30 minute consultation so that we can discuss your business, its operations, and how we can best help you reach your goals.
